How we estimate dental costs
Orlando Dental Guide publishes real Central Florida price ranges so you can walk into a consultation already knowing the ballpark. Here's exactly where those numbers come from, how we keep them honest, and what an estimate can and can't tell you.
Where our numbers come from
Every range on this site is anchored to documented 2025–2026 pricing, weighted toward what practices in the Orlando metro actually charge — not national averages that ignore local market differences. Our sources include:
- Published fee schedules and "starting at" pricing from Orlando-area and Central Florida dental practices
- ADA-derived professional fee survey data for the South Atlantic / Florida region
- Cost aggregators and financing providers (e.g. CareCredit) — cross-checked against local quotes, not used alone
- Florida Medicaid (Prepaid Dental Health Program) and common dental-plan coverage rules
How the estimator works
The cost estimator starts from a base Central Florida range for the treatment you pick, then adjusts for two things: the scope of work (a single tooth vs. a full arch vs. full mouth) and a local cost modifier for your city, since prices in an area like Celebration run higher than in Kissimmee or Haines City. The result is a ballpark range, not a quote.
The honest caveats
We deliberately quote all-in figures. Advertised "starting at" prices are a common trap: a "$999 implant" usually covers only the titanium post — not the abutment or crown — and a low All-on-4 price often covers only the same-day temporary, not the final prosthesis. Real costs also move with add-ons we can't see in an estimate: extractions, bone grafts, sinus lifts, imaging, sedation, and the material you choose. About half of implant patients, for example, also need a bone graft.
We also report Florida-specific coverage plainly: Florida adult Medicaid does not cover dental implants, but does cover one upper and one lower denture per lifetime through the Prepaid Dental Health Program. Many private plans treat implants and veneers as cosmetic.
